Access with small steps

While we are not ‘fully accessible’ and we do not advertise as disabled friendly, we are proud that we have been able to give opportunities to get out into the countryside for people with reduced mobility. Both The Coach House and The Stables are all-on-one level, with level access to each of the bedrooms and living areas. There is a single step into the property and a step into the shower, making it ideal for those with reduced mobility. The Stables also features a ramp up-to the front door where there is just one step to get inside, and just a handful of steps down into the garden. The Coach House has no steps into the garden and parking is right by the front door, which has one small step to get inside.

Level Access

Once inside The Stables and The Coach House are level access throughout with doorways approx 80cm in width and room to move around. We advise you to let us know before your stay if you would like us to remove any furniture to offer additional space. The Stables features doorways approximately 82cm in width.

Both properties feature rooms that have changeable bed set-ups with two singles or a Superking bed. Both properties do have a step into the shower (unfortunately due to the fabric of the building). Rubber sticky shower mats can be provided and used at guests’ discretion.

Preparing for your stay

We are also happy to accommodate any guests with additional needs that require our support ahead of their stay – for example in organising pre-deliveries of material they may need to support their stay such as oxygen or additional mobility devices.

Bedrooms

We have non-allergic bedding in our bedrooms.

Guests with severe allergies should note, however, we do allow dogs into our properties and while our cleaning practices are to a high standard, we cannot guarantee the properties would not affect those with severe pet allergies.

Areas around the farm and general information

We do have some uneven ground on the farm, so we always advise guests of this and to take care when arriving or leaving on foot – this is a natural working farm environment in the countryside and there may be uneven areas around the properties.

Our Threshing Barn & Granary barns both feature metal spiral staircases to the first floor and may be unsuitable for some potential guests – please check with us before booking.

Visual

We can provide our guest information in larger print when requested.

Hearing

Our TV in The Coach House and The Stables have subtitles.

Our two smaller properties The Coach House and The Stables may be ideal for:

•         Older and less mobile guests

•         Part-time wheelchair users

•         Assisted wheelchair users

We welcome the opportunity to discuss your needs prior to booking.
