At the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an ‘Area of Outstanding Beauty’ there is plenty on offer for those looking for the perfect base for their holiday. The local area is hugely popular with cyclists and walkers, with many routes to explore in the Lincolnshire countryside. For keen cyclists the River Witham, which is near Woodhall Spa, enjoys an off-road route directly linked to the centre of Lincoln - perfect for those looking to explore the city on two wheels. Many beautiful routes exist locally, with cycling also recommended up into the Lincolnshire wolds. If you prefer being on foot, then there’s many locations and routes to explore right on our doorstep or just a short drive away. With lots of attractions nearby, there’s plenty to keep the entire family entertained during the course of your stay!

We are also not too far from the sea - Skegness, Ingoldmells, Mablethorpe, Chapel St Leonards, Saltfleet and Cleethorpes are all approximately around an hour’s drive away.

Woodhall Spa - 6 miles, approx 13 minutes

Woodhall Spa is famous for being home to 617 Squadron, or ‘The Dambusters’ during the Second World War. Poignant places to visit such as The Petwood Hotel, Kinema in the Woods and more, showcase some of Britain’s greatest history. This quaint village is famous for its extensive 1940s weekend, which takes place annually, and its 10k run. Woodhall Spa is beautiful - with local produce at the top of the list, enjoy warm freshly baked bread or cakes from the bakery, and local meat from the butchers plus a good fish and chips and veg shop to boot. There’s plenty of pubs and eateries, including the Teahouse in the Woods, perfect for afternoon tea. There’s a swimming pool and activities for the kids at jubilee park, with a fun and buzzing atmosphere locally in the summer months. Woodhall has a small Sainsbury’s and Coop to get your essentials, but please note it is not in short walking distance from the farm. Woodhall Spa is also the perfect place for those who love golf.

Metheringham - 4 miles, approx 8 minutes

Metheringham was formerly home to an RAF station, and close to the farm there is a visitors centre for you to enjoy. Metheringham has local amenities such as multiple pubs, takeaways, a larger Coop and Nisa shop for everything you might need.

Tattershall - 11 miles, approx 20 minutes

Tattershall is a historic village just a short distance from the farm. It is home to Tattershall castle, which is an extraordinary site run by the National Trust. With a number of events throughout the year along with its gardens, parks and cafes, it’s definitely worth a visit. In addition Tattershall Lakes is a popular holiday destination that visitors can also access.

Plus there’s plenty of cafes and attractions to visit in nearby villages such as Blankney, Branston, Nocton…
